For Amanda

Most 12 year old girls are in to glitz and glam, and none more so than Amanda.  Amanda has been designing her gold gown for the Miracle Party for months now.  For years now, Amanda has lived in a room on the oncology floor of The Children’s Hospital.  Her social life is limited to girlie time she gets with other cancer patients.  When they get that little bit of girlie time, they spend it talking about their gowns for the Miracle party.  She is currently in the Intensive Care Unit, and only a full blown miracle will get her to the ball.  It’s going to take more than a Fairy Godmother and a magic wand.  Amanda had Very Severe Aplastic Anemia and underwent two bone marrow transplants.  She then contracted Large B-cell lymphoma from treatment.  She is very sick.  Her body is very tired. Her family is completely exhausted.  In addition to praying for Amanda and her family, I’m asking that you make a donation today in Amanda’s honor so another child battling cancer can attend this year’s Golden Miracle Party.  Your donation can go towards a fancy ball gown for a little girl fighting this disease.  Or it can go to pay for travel expenses or their Hotel room for the night of the event.  Rooms are $99.  Go to the Paypall button on the side bar and note where you would like your donation to go.  Donations call also be mailed to:

You can make a direct donation to Miracle Party here.  If you have the ability, you can sponsor an entire family for the event.  It’s a night to forget about cancer.  They deserve it.  Whatchagonnado?
